Apple has released the developer betas for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, enabling users access to the company’s first set of AI features. The tech giant has confirmed in an update that iOS 18.1 beta is an early preview of an update to iOS 18, which will be available later this fall.
To install these updates, users will need an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max or a system with an Apple Silicon chip for iPads and Macs. Apple has also advised users willing to try Apple Intelligence Beta to join the waitlist in the Settings, as they will be notified once it is ready for their device.
Further, both device language and Siri language must be set to US English, and the region must be the United States. The company’s update on X also reads that Apple Intelligence is not currently available in the EU and China.
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple may roll out some Apple Intelligence features, like Siri’s larger AI overhaul, in 2025.
