(US and Canada) Brigette Guyer, Director of Data Governance at The Wendy’s Company, speaks with Kellie de Leon, Senior Director of Content Marketing at Treasure Data, in a video interview about balancing business objectives with data privacy and the challenges of the changing regulatory landscape.

Sharing her perspective on data privacy, Guyer says that it involves striking a balance between achieving and supporting business objectives and protecting customer data. The company aims to be transparent, and collected data is used to provide a better customer or employee experience while protecting the privacy of data subjects.

Her biggest challenge due to the constantly changing regulatory landscape is to change and create processes to meet objectives and protect customers while meeting regulatory requirements without burdening business partners or marketing teams.

According to Guyer, to break down silos and partner with other leaders across different geographies, the key is to focus on the part of the business being spoken to and their objectives and to support or enable them.

CDO Magazine appreciates Brigette Guyer for sharing her insights and data success stories with our global community.
