Innovative Solutions and Problem Solving

For more than 10 years, Illumination Works has helped clients manage and evaluate their data and information. Founded in 2006, Illumination Works is a company that is dedicated to helping solve problems both faster and smarter.

“I started this company 11½ years ago with a focus on solving whatever problems were in front of me and getting them done and then moving on to the next problem,” said Jon Mitchell, founder of Illumination Works. “Our mantra has been to hire people that want to solve problems, people who are hungry and passionate about what they do. Our singular mission has always been to be our client’s first choice.”

Mitchell is a self-taught software developer with a college degree in English. That hasn’t stopped him from seeking innovative solutions in a rapidly changing environment.

“I keep learning all the time. Continuous learning is very important in the technology field, primarily because things change daily. This is a different job for me than it was even five or six years ago,” he says.

The company, which has 85 employees, does work for the federal government as well as commercial firms.

“We look at building our team to almost 100 people across three different cities (Dayton and Columbus), and potentially five or six by the end of the year,” Mitchell says. “We’re about a 50/50 company in the government and commercial industries. Hopefully next year we will have a presence in the U.S. capital, in Montgomery, Alabama, and potentially in San Antonio, Texas. Commercially, we’ve expanded into Columbus, and have customers in North Carolina and Texas.”

Illumination Works focuses on building lasting relationships with their customers and continuously providing solutions to them in a challenging and rapidly changing world of data.

“People do business with people they like and trust. We have to continue to execute and deliver,” says Mitchell. “We focus ourselves on a couple of core areas. We do those things, and we do them really well.”

Illumination Works is located at 5939 Deerfield Boulevard, Suite 200, Mason, OH 45040. For more information, call 513.276.4077 or visit www.illuminationworksllc.com.
