WHAT WE DO:

“At GE Aviation, we are transforming the IT function from a back-office entity, running projects and delivering cost-saving measures to the company, to becoming a large part of our commercial front-end, digital business. We deliver customer solutions, as well as technologies that advance the way we run our business.”

How do you determine whether or not an idea is worth pursuing?

“Our decision framework is based on two different criteria. First, we pursue commercially-viable solutions that make the customer better at what they do. One example would be operational technology products that help airlines run more efficiently, such as crew management, schedule recovery, or fuel burn.  Second, supply chain excellence around brilliant factories. By creating success internally first, deploying solutions in our factories and getting the recipe right, we can turn them around and take them out to our customers.
