How do you scale IT projects for faster delivery?
“I try to streamline what the business needs are and then I do ‘over-communication.’ I try to find out from each group what is actually needed from a communication perspective and with regard to all the milestones. I then use a pseudo-agile technique where we do a sprint for two weeks trying to do what we can to figure it out. I might use 20 to 30 different project management techniques, depending on the complexity, the importance and how closely I need to get it done. Sometimes a consultant can manage a project and sometimes I will get heavily involved. I always involve the stakeholders, that’s non-negotiable.”
