Salesforce Appoints Wendy Batchelder as SVP of Global Data Governance and Chief Data Officer of Trust

(US and Canada) Salesforce, the maker of “the world’s #1 customer-relationship management platform,” has announced the appointment of technology executive Wendy Batchelder as Senior Vice President of Global Data Governance and Chief Data Officer of Trust. Batchelder will provide the California-based company with the right data at the right time with the right controls. Before joining Salesforce, she was working as a CDO for VMWare and was responsible for the company’s automation, data science center of excellence, business insights, analytic solutions, and delivering excellence in data management capabilities globally with an annual impact of greater than US$1 billion. She led a team of 600+ professionals at VMware. She has worked with Wells Fargo, Aviva USA, KPMG, and Ernst and Young.

Batchelder is a technology executive with experience in rapidly transforming and scaling businesses through the implementation of solutions impacting top line growth, operational efficiency, and cost savings, leveraging robotic process automation, AI/ML, and data-driven solutions.

She has a track record of demonstrated excellence in tackling business problems with technical solutions and excels at developing diverse, agile team members into leaders to maximize their potential and growth. She loves to speak about how to enable companies to make the right decisions with the right data at the right time.

Batchelder has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Miami University and a master’s in Accounting from Drake University.
