Katie Schafer, Beam Benefits Analytics, Data Management, and Data Science, Joins CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board

(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Katie Schafer to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Schafer leads analytics, data management, and data science at Beam Benefits. She oversees data availability, reporting, data consulting, and predictive modeling.

Schafer earned her doctorate in experimental and quantitative psychology at The Ohio State University and worked in consulting and insurance before joining Beam. She is adept at translating complex technical and statistical content into clear, concise recommendations and cohesive strategies that resonate with business leaders and executives.

At Beam, Schafer drives long-term analytics and data science strategy, offerings, and vision to ensure strategic growth. She is an avid public speaker, delivering numerous technical and strategic talks at large community events and international conferences. Schafer also has advanced statistics and programming expertise across various languages, and is an RStudio Certified Instructor and a satRday Columbus 2020 organizer. Additionally, Schafer serves on Franklin University, Erdos Institute, and Women in Analytics advisory boards.
