(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Justin Marsico to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Marsico is the Chief Data Officer for the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, part of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he is working to modernize the bureau’s data management, including data governance and analytics. He also oversees the Fiscal Service’s provision of data on USASpending.gov.
In a previous role at the Fiscal Services, Marsico created the federal spending website, the Data Lab, and a new team dedicated to conducting enterprise-wide analytics. Before joining the Fiscal Service, Marsico served as a senior advisor in the Inspector General’s Office at the Department of Commerce, investigating ethics matters and employee misconduct. In addition, Marsico worked as an analyst at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and previously at the Treasury as an international economist. Marsico holds master’s degrees from the University of Michigan in applied economics and public policy.
