Capita Appoints Sameer Vuyyuru as Chief AI and Product Officer

(US and Canada) Consulting and outsourcing firm Capita plc has appointed Sameer Vuyyuru as Chief AI and Product Officer, effective December 3, 2024. In this newly created role, Vuyyuru will collaborate with Capita’s Executive team to lead and advance the company’s AI and product strategy, supporting Capita’s ongoing digital transformation goals.

Vuyyuru’s responsibilities will include driving product innovation and delivering scalable AI solutions designed to enhance outcomes for clients and support Capita’s strategic objectives. His role will encompass product development, creating integrated solutions, and fostering relationships with hyperscalers and other key partners.

Bringing over 25 years of experience, Vuyyuru joins Capita from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he served as Director, Global Solutions and Partnerships for Telco and Edge Strategy. In that position, he led vision, strategy, and partner relations for the Communication Service Provider segment. He has also served as founder and CEO of Wayz.ai, a location intelligence platform, and held leadership roles at Comtech, Semtech, Intersil, and Texas Instruments.
