(US and Canada) Ravneet Chadha, Chief Data Officer and Associate VP at the University of Arizona, speaks with Dr. Katrina Adkins, Director of Education Solutions at SHI, in a video interview about the influence of his engineering background on his work and the impact of student and faculty studies on the university.

According to Chadha, engineering prepared him well to be more efficient in his current role as a CDO. He emphasizes that professionals must keep learning and acquire real-world industry experience while on the job.

When asked how conducting specialized student and faculty studies impacted the University of Arizona, Chadha explains that the data science team's analysis, research questions, and studies helped the university become a better organization overall and take care of issues proactively. In addition to the faculty pay equity study, he mentions student retention and graduation modeling studies to assist stakeholders in their endeavors.

Chadha discusses a model that considers a number of metrics to improve university rankings and the net tuition revenue model to make this information more visible.
