Samuel Davis, who holds the position of Executive Information Technologist at the Franklin County JFS, is also the Co-founder of the Good Sport Golf Club in Ohio. The club is committed to giving back to the community through hosting “Charity Golf Tournament” fundraising events that support nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable populations.

As a dedicated information technologist and experienced business executive, Davis is passionate about leading teams and finding innovative solutions that bring value to people's lives. Throughout his career both in the private and public sectors, he has found fulfillment in volunteering and participating in community service activities.

“It is a privilege for me to give back to others as I have been blessed with great opportunities in my own life. Engaging with like-minded individuals who share a passion for helping those in need brings me great joy and fulfillment. Serving others is not only a responsibility but also a way of giving back for all the blessings I have received. I truly believe that by serving others, I am paying rent for the wonderful life that I live,” says Davis.

Good Sport Golf Club works with nonprofits that serve vulnerable populations such as those affected by incurable diseases, mental health issues, or developmental disabilities.

As a Co-founder of Good Sport Golf Club, Davis says that he is proud to be part of an organization that assists nonprofits in developing effective fundraising strategies, events, and campaigns tailored to their specific needs and target audience. “We achieve this through organizing charity golf tournaments and events. Moreover, we collaborate with our partners to create compelling messaging for social media and other communication channels to increase awareness and involvement from supporters.”

The events serve to raise funds for nonprofit organizations and increase their visibility within the community they serve and beyond. The club’s expertise extends to planning fundraising events for multiple nonprofits over many years.

“My wife and I are dedicated parents of two children with special needs. We hold deep appreciation for organizations that serve others, as we have experienced the invaluable services our children have received throughout the years. In recognition of the countless volunteers, therapists, doctors, professionals, and kind-hearted individuals who have shown our family love, compassion, and support – we are committed to giving back to the community through our organization,” concludes Davis.

One of Good Sport Golf Club’s upcoming events is the Susan G. Komen Charity Golf Tournament, to be held on October 14, 2024 at the Firestone Country Club, South Course in Akron, Ohio.
