The Schueler Group is a full service real estate company offering real estate development, construction, brokerage, financing, and property management. The other two companies under the umbrella are Bunnell Hill Construction Company and Henkle Schueler and Associates/CORFAC.
The Schueler Group owns or manages 19 business parks stretching from North Dayton to four locations in Northern Kentucky. These land positions total almost 3,000 acres. Chester is challenged with bringing new business to these parks and gaining greater visibility for the company. "He is kept busy, as the company continues to buy, sell and develop more land, thereby creating more jobs for the region," stated Schueler Group president/CEO Mike Schueler.
Schueler Group’s Bunnell Hill Development’s expertise and focus is in industrial, retail, office and mixed-use development. "We can develop a project for your company in one of our 19 business parks or act as your development partner or fee-developer on a piece of property owned by you," says Chester.
With the economy gaining strength and momentum, BHD has been very busy developing new projects as well as evaluating potential future projects. In Mason, Ohio, they are making plans to move forward with Phase II of their Everybody’s Farm development – a 31 acre mixed-use project located in a high growth corridor at the intersection of Tylersville and Snider Road.
"Everybody’s Farm is a very exciting project for us," said Chester."We are seeing a tremendous amount of interest in this project due to its strategic location and the quality of the development." Phase I includes Marion’s Piazza and the Dermatologists of South West Ohio (DSWO). Phase II will provide up to an additional 75,000 square feet of retail sites and 90,000 square feet of professional/medical office business. Bunnell Hill Development is in discussions with several different retail and office users interested in locating to the development.
In West Union, Ohio, Schueler Group’s BHD has redeveloped an approximately 44,000 square feet former Wal-Mart store into a multi-tenant retail center. A new Tractor Supply Company (TSC) store anchors approximately 22,000 square feet of this project. Dollar Tree, Hibbett Sports, and a dance studio occupy the balance of the building. "Our West Union redevelopment project has been very successful. We purchased what was a neglected retail building directly in front of the new Wal- Mart and gave it a complete face lift," says Chester.
"We take pride in building strong relationships with our customers – locally and on a national level," says Chester. Bunnell Hill Development Company is a preferred developer and contractor for Tractor Supply Company (TSC) stores. "Within our working relationships with TSC, the expectations and schedules are understood. We have built and re-modeled more than 100 TSC stores in nine states stretching from Missouri to Maryland."
With the lack of available industrial space within the region, Schueler Group’s BHD is aggressively pursuing opportunities to develop and bring new industrial development to the market. In Northern Kentucky, adjacent to the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky International Airport, Bunnell Hill Development is design- ing and planning to develop an approximately 500,000 square feet bulk industrial building on 40 acres of land.
This is a natural fit for Chester, who has developed over 3 million square feet of industrial space in the region. Chester’s 20-year tenure has created strong business connections within the community. He is a past president of NAIOP, a two-time NAIOP Industrial Deal of the Year award winner and honored as a Duke Realty Master’s Club recipient.
Bill was the regional vice president/market leader for DCT Industrial, where he was responsible for managing the regional office and overseeing their 17 million square feet Industrial portfolio.
