By the end of 2019, Episcopal Retirement Services will complete the $20M Marjorie P. Lee Master Plan renovation, and their modernized long-term care apartments are now open.

Families will find that spacious rooms, privacy, and the right level of care make all the difference for their loved ones.

The aging process is often accompanied by physical and cognitive changes, which require long-term skilled nursing services in a caring environment. However, needs vary from person to person. In keeping with our tradition of setting the standard for elder care, Majorie P. Lee has evolved to offer three different long-term care options, including the following:

Berghamer House is designed to support seniors with physical challenges. Staffed by a qualified team of nurses, social service coordinators, life enrichment specialists, and wellness professionals, Berghamer House keeps residents physically, intellectually and vocationally engaged while providing a variety of services, including medication administration; an on-staff nurse practitioner; restorative therapy; dressing and grooming; mobility assistance; incontinence care; bathing; resident assistance services; housekeeping services; and three daily meals with restaurant-style dining and optional in-room service. This is all provided in a modernized setting and delivered with an interdisciplinary care planning approach aimed at meeting the holistic needs of our community members.

Amstein House offers long-term care for people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. In addition to the standard 24-hour care provided in all of Majorie P. Lee’s long-term nursing households, Amstein House also serves residents with a cognitive loss with its Living Well Memory Support program. Comprising art, music, advanced cognitive exercises, and physical wellbeing therapies, this comprehensive memory care program was created to engage and stimulate residents adequately.

Rookwood House provides a uniquely attractive option for seniors looking for the elegance and amenities of home in a long-term nursing care setting. Each spacious studio or one-bedroom apartment features high ceilings, large windows, kitchenettes, and a large bathroom with walk-in showers. Residents also share a beautiful private dining room serving upscale meals with extraordinary garden views while also having access to personalized, catered living experiences, such as concierge services, special events, wellness coaching and more. From a thoughtful pillow menu to afternoon cocktail parties, your aging loved ones will continue to enjoy the quality of life to which they’re accustomed.

One of the most important aspects of Marjorie P. Lee as a person-centered continuing care retirement community is that if a resident needs to move from one level of care to another, they’ll be able to do so while remaining part of our community. Residents continue to receive the support they need from the staff they know, and their relationships with their neighbors can be sustained.

Marjorie P. Lee takes great pride in offering person-centered care aimed at enabling seniors to make the most of a transition to independent living or skilled nursing care. The exciting changes will further enhance their ability to do so.

Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community, a community of Episcopal Retirement Services, is located at 3550 Shaw Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45208. For a tour, call 513.871.2090 or visit www.marjorieplee.com.
