Southeast Indiana’s scenic Dearborn County boasts that it’s the "perfect place to play," and with its variety of attractions, it’s easy to see why.

From quaint small towns to exciting entertainment, Dearborn County has something to offer visitors of any age within a short drive from downtown Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

There are a number of must-see locations that can electrify out-of-town guests and locals alike.

Hollywood Casino & Hotel features gaming seven days a week and attracts around 1.7 million visitors each year. In addition to great games, check out the Summer Music Series with live music from pop icons to cover bands to modern R&B. Do the hustle like it’s 1979 at the Casino’s ’70s’ and ’80s’ themed dance club, Boogie Nights, which features a lighted disco dance floor and VIP booths with bottle service.

Racing fans won’t want to miss the variety of auto and motorcycle racing on Lawrenceburg Speedway’s 3/8-mile, high-banked clay track at the Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds.

Snow-filled fun is right around the corner at Perfect North Slopes’ 23 trails for skiing and snowboarding experts and novices alike. Visitors can take advantage of on-site ski tuning and waxes, the latest equipment at the Loft Shop and the adult lesson series for skiers who want to improve their skills. The resort offers unique and fun-filled ski and snowboard classes for beginners aged 4-12 that will equip kids with skills for a lifetime of healthy fun. 

Lawrenceburg has spruced up the face of its historic downtown area with the Lawrenceburg Event Center, which opened in 2014. The venue is perfect for weddings, parties, corporate events or trade shows with more than 37,000 square feet of meeting space. The on-site Doubletree by Hilton has 168 guest rooms including 12 suites and a full-service restaurant along the beautiful Ohio River.

There are many historical and cultural sites in Dearborn County. The Italianate-style mansion, Hillforest Victorian House Museum in Aurora, was formerly the home of shipping and riverboat industrialist Thomas Gaff in 1855. It’s open for tours from April to December.

Visitors can explore Aurora’s rich riverboat history and beautiful architecture. Additionally, they can download an app to take a self-guided walking tour through the Windows of Aurora mural project that consists of 64 window murals that give a look into what life was like in the early 1900s.
