Catering with Flair

Jungle Jim’s International Market is known for its unique flair, diverse selection and fresh products, but did you know that they bring those same qualities to your catered event? From corporate events to business meetings, weddings and parties, The Oscar Event Center at Jungle Jim’s can deal with it all. 

The Oscar Event Center catering department at Jungle Jim’s started six years ago and has grown quickly. 

"What makes us unique in the catering industry is that we are a part of Jungle Jim’s so we have access to the freshest produce and meat – really anything we need, we have it. If our customers can dream it up, we can find what we need to make it happen," says April Petri, general manager of Oscar Event Center. "We’re never going to run out and there will never be an order too big – we can always put together something great." 

Being an extension of Jungle Jim’s gives the catering department the ability to make last-minute changes and additions. While it’s not the norm, it does happen from time to time.

"The ability to go downstairs and get what we need is really incredible in this industry and makes it easy," adds Michael Crail, executive chef. "We’re an international market so anything we can dream is at our fingertips." 

From the initial order to the day of the event, the catering staff is available to make sure your event happens smoothly. On the day of the event, a manager and catering team delivers the order, handles any setup requirements and assists with serving needs.

"It’s very helpful to have someone who is knowledgeable at the actual event if it’s off-site (who) can explain exactly what’s in the food," says Petri. 

In addition to having access to a wide variety of ingredients, Crail and his team also have access to specialty items for those who are vegan, vegetarian or have a gluten allergy. 

"Having an allergy or dietary restriction doesn’t limit your meal," says Crail. "There is nothing that a client can present to us that we won’t be able to handle." 

The catering staff at the Oscar Event Center at Jungle Jim’s International Market is dedicated to serving each and every client.
