Watch as Water Tower Fine Wines Fulfills Vision

Water Tower Fine Wines continues to be open during extensive renovations. The vision of owners David and Jan Lazarus’ includes an area for wine education, additional storage, a living room like seating area and a new layout to improve traffic flow. TVs will be added to the wine education area for learning purposes and one will be added to living room-like space for watching the game. In addition, a small stage is being added to host live music. A commercial kitchen is also being created so that Jan, a chef and artisan baker, can have breads and focaccia available for customers to enjoy. The goal is to have the store ready in time for the holidays.

"We’re a wine destination for shopping and tastings," says David. "We want to remain approachable and relaxed – a library-like setting, but instead of books we have wine."

The store’s enormous selection of more than 2,000 different bottles of wine continues to be available for guests to peruse as renovations continue. The selection of wine is always growing, so customers are encouraged to visit often. 

Once the renovations are complete the store will be able to seat more than 70 people inside and an additional 35 on the shaded deck. With the addition of a commercial kitchen, Jan will create specialty Neapolitan Pizza and wine pairings for guests to enjoy on Saturday afternoons.  

The Lazarus’ vision will continue into 2016 as the couple hopes to add a roof-top deck in the late spring or early summer.
