Moments of Bliss: Kailey Dennull & Matt See

Last year on their seventh dating anniversary, Matt See popped the question to Kailey Dennull, his high school sweetheart. When choosing a wedding date, they wanted to get as close to their dating anniversary as possible, so they picked May 11.

The couple tied the knot in downtown Dayton at Top of the Market, a rustic century-old freight depot that was converted into a charming event center. The exposed brick and wooden beams juxtapose the soft lighting weaved into the rafters, creating a warm, romantic mood.

“It was perfect because we wanted a fun, casual wedding – nothing super formal or fancy,” says Kailey, who opted not to hold the typical giant bundle of roses. Instead, she and her bridesmaids carried lovely cascading vines among a sprinkling of exotic cream-and-maroon flowers.

“I was obsessed with those bouquets!” says Kailey. “They looked like they had feathers in them.”

The venue uniquely displayed the newlyweds’ engagement photos from giant two-sided 30 x 30-inch picture boxes that hung from the ceiling and extended the length of the room, adding a nice personal touch.

“Everyone had a lot of fun, and that’s what was most important to us,” says Kailey. “Almost all of the 150 guests stayed until our send-off!”

As for the most memorable moment of the day, Kailey says it was when she spotted her groom-to-be tearing up just as she was about to walk down the aisle.

“Matt swore to me he wasn’t going to cry, but he did!” says Kailey. “I’ll never forget that moment of pure emotion.”
