The city of Lawrenceburg, IN is steadily rising in the ranks as a travel hot-spot. Their new Riverfront Development Area is a tremendous opportunity for interested entrepreneurs and small businesses.

You don’t have to plan an extensive trip to enjoy the benefits of relaxation and rejuvenation; a quick weekend getaway or day trip makes a wonderful respite whether you go alone, as a family or with a group of friends.

Lawrenceburg, Indiana is a phenomenal city to visit, with its picturesque scenery, dining options, gaming and shopping. The city is a go-to destination for people living in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Louisville, Dayton and Columbus. It has the quaint charm of a small town with the attractions of a big city.

Downtown Lawrenceburg is a good place to start exploring and immediately be immersed in the activities and offerings of the city. High-end accommodations include the Doubletree by Hilton & Lawrenceburg Event Center, which opened in 2014. It features a restaurant, bar, hotel, meeting and boardrooms, a ballroom and a concert facility.

“The Lawrenceburg Event Center has brought many exciting opportunities for the region, as well as the downtown area,” says Kelly Will, marketing director at the City of Lawrenceburg. One of those opportunities is the Downtown Lawrenceburg Riverfront Development Area, an entertainment district that will allow for unlimited three-way liquor licenses within its borders.

The district will be an enticing endeavor for small businesses – many new restaurants have opened in the past year, with more on the way. It’s also the perfect prospect for new entrepreneurs and retail businesses.

Hollywood Casino is also a substantial draw for visitors of Lawrenceburg. Hollywood Casino is a great location for a girl’s or guy’s night out, or take the celebration up a notch with a bachelorette or bachelor party.

While you’re in town, visit Lawrenceburg Speedway for the thrill of a race. There are several events throughout the year, attracting race fans nationwide.

After you’ve visited the city and enjoyed all of its entertainment, revel in the beauty of Mother Nature along Dearborn Trails. Located 22 miles from downtown Cincinnati, the multi-use hiking and biking trails follow the Ohio River and received the Mid America Trails & Greenway Award in 2007. The three trails connect the communities of Greendale, Lawrenceburg and Aurora.
