Otterbein Lebanon is excited to offer prospective residents the opportunity to join the senior living community with two new-construction lifestyle choices.

The Orchards at Otterbein includes a street of 16 new single-family ranch homes. With seven models to choose from, the homes range in size from 1,200 square feet to 2,000 square feet and have garages in the back with alleys. “They have a new urban feel with historic architecture and innovative floor plans,” says Kathleen Geers, director of marketing and communication. “Everyone has front porches, so it encourages people to sit on the porch and engage with their neighbors.”

The amenities include Otterbein YMCA – heated indoor pool, hot tub, walking track and fitness center – located in the Life

Enrichment Center, constructed two years ago. In addition to providing other recreational opportunities and services, including a full-service restaurant, Otterbein has a golf-cart path leading to Warren County/Armco Park, which features a 110-acre lake, tennis courts and an 18-hole executive golf course. All interior and exterior maintenance and repair services are included, as well as utilities, cable, lawn care and snow removal. “It really makes for a comfortable, relaxed lifestyle,” Geers says.

There are many benefits to residing in a senior living community. “There’s always something to do,” Geers says. “You can be as active as you want to be.” Among the options, residents can attend movie night, enjoy dinner with friends or take in a Reds game. “I think people want to be comfortable and to feel a sense of fulfillment and purpose,” Geers says.

For some residents, that might mean taking advantage of volunteer opportunities at Otterbein. For others, attending classes and lectures or the on-site United Methodist Church might be meaningful. Otterbein also offers residents the safety and security afforded by community living. “Most people say they wish they had moved here sooner.”

The new-construction additions will join the existing Otterbein community of 432 independent-living homes, 38 assisted-living apartments and 256 skilled-nursing units, boasting Eagle accreditation, a top rating in the senior living industry. With a 97 percent occupancy rate, Otterbein Lebanon is responding to demand with their new construction projects.

If Otterbein’s senior living community sounds like a good fit for you or a loved one, however, you might want to move quickly.

“We are excited about the new construction,” Geers says. “People are already depositing on them before they are built.”

Otterbein Lebanon Senior Living Community is located at 585 North State Route 741, Lebanon, OH 45036. You can reach them at 513.932.2020 or visit their website at www.otterbein.org/lebanon.
