Fashion and Fundraising

On Monday, November 14th, the Ladies of Kindervelt 50 hosted an exclusive fashion show and luncheon featuring the Best of Saks Fifth Avenue. Kenwood Country Club was transformed into a high-end fashion house with the help of Chrissie Blatt Creative and Saks Fifth Avenue. A crowd of 275 Kindervelt supporters shopped the wonderful vendors, mingled and raised funds for the Kindervelt Psychiatric Emergency Assessment Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. This was one of KV #50 most successful fashion show, raising over $43,500. 

For the next four years, Kindervelt has chosen to support the mental health needs of our community with The Kindervelt Psychaitric Emergency Assessment Center (KV PEAC). One in Five children ages 13-18 have or will have a serious mental illness. Cincinnati Children’s has one of the busiest pediatric emergency departments in the United States. The emergency department can be a scary and unfamiliar space, and for a child in need of psychiatric evaluation, it can add extra stress. As the number of children and teens with psychiatric emergencies continue to grow, there is an increasing need for designated space and resources within the emergency department to care for patients experiencing a mental health crisis. The KV PEAC is intended to improve the comprehensive assessment, care and support of our mental health patients in these emergency situations. Kindervelt 50 is thrilled to help support this mission.

Kindervelt #50 Fashion Show was presented by Mercedes-Benz of Cincinnati, Pure Romance and the Patty Brisben Foundation.
