FC Cincinnati Gives Local Soccer Fans a Home Team to Support

Our city is known for its wide array of professional sports and FC Cincinnati, a start-up professional soccer team, has recently joined the roster. 

FC Cincinnati officially began its inaugural season on March 26 in Charleston, South Carolina, but the team has already generated a lot of excitement with impressive preseason wins. Their much-anticipated home opener is April 9 against the Charlotte Independence. The team will play its home games at the renovated Nippert Stadium on the University of Cincinnati campus.  

Corporate partnerships are an integral piece to the success of FC Cincinnati. 

“We have aspirations of being a top club in our league and ultimately of earning an invitation to become a Major League Soccer expansion franchise,” says Jeff Berding, president and general manager of FC Cincinnati. “To get there, we need to draw 10,000 fans a game and secure the backing of the top businesses in the region.” 

U.S. Bank stepped forward as a corporate partner shortly after FC Cincinnati announced the franchise launch in August 2015. 

Those conversations are proliferating and excitement is building for Cincinnati’s first soccer team to play in the United Soccer League. Inspired by the passion seen in soccer worldwide, FC Cincinnati plans to produce a fan experience that is second-to-none.
