Spring Fever? Botanica, a custom floral design and home décor store in Loveland, has the cure. Décor-savvy aficionados will fawn over the beautifully arranged vibrant tulips, pastel-hued hydrangeas and succulents. Botanica covers many design styles from natural and organic to transitional, modern and contemporary. There really is something for everyone. The staff and customers often joke that you have to go around the showroom multiple times, and in both directions, to truly see everything. The preserved and dried flowers look and feel fresh – the only thing missing is the fragrance.

“Florals and accessories are like the earrings to an outfit. It’s the last thing you do,” says Deborah Oughterson, floral artist and designer for Botanica. “We work with [clients] to help them complete a look.”

In addition to florals, Botanica has a beautiful showroom featuring unique pieces including accessories, lamps, artwork, mirrors and other chic items for your home. Botanica also provides in-home consultations as one of their many services.

“Visiting our client’s home gives us a better sense of their surroundings. We love to take inspiration from their existing style and colors to create a consistent flow throughout the home,” says Botanica owner Robin Buop.

Clients can also bring in their own containers to have Botanica’s floral artists create new arrangements or to freshen up an existing design.

“We’re one of the few businesses in Cincinnati that concentrates on preserved and dried [florals],” says Buop.

Botanica, which has been featured in several home and wedding publications, uses fresh flowers for wedding bouquets and events. Buop says they also offer full atmosphere planning for weddings and events. She believes that a wedding should reflect the couple’s personality and style. Botanica’s award winning designers and stylists enjoy getting to know the brides. Buop’s entire goal when planning a wedding is for the guests to enter and immediately sense the couple’s individuality.

If you want to see Botanica’s beautiful designs you should head on down to the store in Loveland! You can also attend 2018 Homearama, at Highlands of Heritage Hill in Warren County’s Union Township from July 7-22, where their designs will be featured in four homes. Botanica also offers lectures and hands-on classes. Some of the class topics include how to arrange a live garden or terrarium and how to choose interior paint colors. Class fees start at $50 and are held the third Tuesday of every month.

Botanica is located at 9581 Fields Ertel Road, Loveland, OH 45140. For more information, call 513.697.9484 or visit www.botanicacincinnati.com.
