Reflecting on 23 Years of Success

Owning and operating a small business isn’t easy, but Hoffman & Albers Interiors continues to grow. The company is celebrating its 23rd anniversary as one of Cincinnati’s premier interior design resources. The showroom and studio was founded in 1993 by Ann Hoffman, the firm’s principal, and Beth Hoffman, who isn’t related and is now retired, in Kenwood. 

"We felt that Cincinnati was lacking good design resources – everything was pretty monotonous in the city in terms of choices," says Ann. "We had a vision of having a complete interior design studio, but also with a showroom – that’s what makes us unique."

In 2006, Hoffman & Albers moved to its present location in Blue Ash. Its 11,000-square-foot showroom features exquisite furnishings and accessories. 

"We’re much smaller than your typical big box furniture store, but we’re much larger than the typical design studio because most of them don’t have furniture or accessories that you can feel, see or touch," says Ann. "We have it all – artwork, lamps, carpeting, custom area rugs, custom window treatments and more."

Ann and her team of five interior designers specialize in both residential and commercial interior design. 

"Hoffman & Albers isn’t just for your home. We can do your office," says Ann. "Your office should and often does, reflect your own personality. It shouldn’t be cold. The environment needs to be wonderful and if you have clients come in you want them to be comfortable." 

No matter the project, the Hoffman & Albers team understands the importance of sticking to a budget. The store carries a variety of products from name brand designers and manufacturers, giving designers and customers alike a vast selection. 

After 23 years with her own business, Ann is still inspired every day to create new designs for her clients. "The world of design is constantly changing, so if we don’t evolve with world changes it’s not a good thing," says Ann. "As a designer you have to be on the move all of the time."

Ann credits her success to her wonderful staff, strong vision and personalized customer service. The size of Hoffman & Albers Interiors offers clients an intimate, home-like experience, providing the opportunity to connect with designers on a personal level.
