BREAKING: Music Hall Announces $10 Million Gift for Renovation
Published on

The Music Hall Revitalization Company announced at a  press conference this afternoon a $10 million gift from Mrs. Edyth B. Lindner and American Financial Group to support the restoration and renovation of Music Hall.

The gift inspired Harry and Linda Fath, long supporters of the Opera and the arts in Cincinnati, to increase their $2 million commitment toward the project to $4 million

Music Hall's foyer will be appropriately named in honor of Mrs. Edyth B. Lindner once the project is completed. Mrs. Lindner recognizes that this renovation of Music Hall is critically important to the future of the performing arts in Cincinnati.

Currently estimated to cost $125 million, the restoration and renovation project is now entering its final phase of fundraising. Only $10 million remains to be raised to cover construction costs, leaving a $10 million funding gap that must be bridged before construction can begin in 2016.

MHRC is encouraging individuals in the community to make individual contributions toward the project. Contributions can be made to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
