The underground river originates in northern Ontario. In 2011, Shelly Summe, owner of Bleux Water Spa and her business partner, Kyle Henson, began their quest to use the natural mineral water to open a spa. 

"It was our intention in designing and building Bleux Water Spa to bring something really special to the area," says Summe. "When you walk into the spa you will find everything custom designed and hand-built. It is also our intention to bring back the true meaning of the word ‘spa,’ which means a place that provides therapeutic mineral springs. 

"Our goal at Bleux Water Spa is to bring this piece of history back with modern amenities for our guests to be naturally rejuvenated and enjoy the health benefits of the water." 

 Guests can choose from a number of relaxing treatments that include a signature mineral bath, signature massage, therapeutic face massage plus bath, signature facial, signature moisturizing body polish plus bath, honey facelift massage plus mineral bath and more. 

When guests arrive for their appointment, they quickly forget they are in Cincinnati. Exotic woods cover the walls throughout the facility, creating a calming ambiance. Guests are encouraged to enjoy a glass of the spa’s refreshing infused mineral water with blackberries, raspberries, ginger and mint as they unwind on the custom furniture.
