The holiday season is just around the corner, which means celebrations are about to begin throughout Greater Cincinnati as families and businesses make plans for parties, get-togethers and other festivities.
This season, Cincinnati has a new holiday destination: The Annie W. & Elizabeth M. Anderson Pavilion, funded generously by the Anderson Foundation in the philanthropic sisters’ names, sits at street level below Carol Ann’s Carousel at Smale Park on the downtown riverfront. With a capacity of more than 250 people, it’s ideal for hosting large-scale banquets, conferences and weddings. The view overlooking the Ohio River is one that simply can’t be beat, and the modern, clean design of the space offers a unique venue option in a district filled with more art deco.
"We are delighted with the success we have experienced within just six months of our grand opening," says Cali Rhein, director of sales and executive production for The Anderson Pavilion. "The diversity of our events is quite refreshing as we are hosting weddings, holiday parties, social and corporate events."
The holidays will be the perfect time for people and businesses to check out what The Anderson Pavilion has to offer, if they haven’t already. For companies located downtown, it’s a venue that can’t be beat in terms of convenience – employees can easily leave their cars behind to walk from work to the holiday party – an especially attractive option when winter sets in and snow begins to fall. Once there, it’s not just the pavilion that’s of interest either. With its close proximity to the river, local bars and restaurants and the amenities of Smale Park, there are plenty of entertainment options available for any kind of party or banquet at any time of the day.
"The Anderson Pavilion is ideally situated to experience many different facets of Smale Riverfront Park for your special event," Rhein says. "Our clients have the ability to also enjoy Carol Ann’s Carousel, the Pichler Fountains, the Gardner Family Rose Garden, and the Suspension Bridge Riverview Garden, all available to rent to enhance your event experience."
With riverfront views, large windows and attractions surrounding the space, the pavilion is already a destination spot for weddings and company holiday parties. As the first parks space capable of producing high-end indoor events, Anderson Pavilion is a great location to admire the Ohio River while celebrating the holidays.
"Currently, we are gearing up for a fabulous holiday season with a variety of corporate, charity and social organization parties," Rhein says. "The seasonal ambiance within and surrounding the pavilion will be quite unique, as we carry through our venue’s contemporary elegance style. We are excited for a very festive season."
