When Melissa was set up with Mark as a date for senior prom, she had no idea she was meeting her future husband. “It was not the best of dates quite honestly, but six years later we met again, we both had matured and the rest is history,” says Melissa. The couple dated for four years before Mark proposed to Melissa on her birthday.
As the couple began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted to plan an event that reflected their hometown of Cincinnati and their loved ones.
“Once we knew the date and church, we simply focused on what felt natural,” Melissa says. “We brought the outdoors in with lit paper lanterns, picked a venue that could easily accommodate our guests in one large room, selected a menu that reflected our heritage, and threw in extras to make our guests enjoy the party. We wanted the event to be fun, happy, and encourage people to stay all night.”
The newlyweds enjoyed every moment of their big day alongside their family, friends and French bulldog, Bernice.
