Kenwood Towne Centre has added a new shining star to its galaxy. Kit and Ace hosted its grand opening weekend May 26-29, 2016. The more than 3,200 square-foot store is located on the second level of the Sycamore Township mall.

Shannon and JJ Wilson, son of lululemon founder Chip Wilson, founded Kit and Ace in July 2014. The company is known for its proprietary fabric “Technical Cashmere”, which is a machine washable cashmere that has been enhanced with fibers. “We’re gaining strong brand recognition in Cincinnati and it is important for us to establish a presence in a major shopping destination like Kenwood Towne Centre,” JJ Wilson, the company’s brand leader, said in a statement. “We’re excited about the new location and can’t wait to see the response from locals.”

Less than a year ago, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based luxury clothing company opened its first Greater Cincinnati store in Over-the-Rhine at 1405 Vine Street. Joseph Licata, the showroom director, made this statement prior to the grand opening: “The Kit and Ace team here at Kenwood Towne Centre is so excited to be part of the Cincinnati community, along with our sister location on Vine Street downtown, and look forward to sharing our West Coast style with you. We invite you to come by, say hello, relax in our lounge, enjoy a cold beverage at our supper club table, take in some local art and experience our luxurious Technical Cashmere. This just might be your new favorite clubhouse.” That is indeed true. The store is lovely in its rich, simple elegance and clean lines. All clothing items displayed follow suit. It is a must stop the next time you visit Kenwood Towne Centre.
