(US and Canada) Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has appointed Guillaume Thfoin as Chief Data Officer – E2E Digital Customer Relationship. Thfoin will define and drive the company’s ambitious data and analytics transformation in the End-to-End Digital Customer Relationship.

Thfoin joins from Majid Al Futtaim Holding, the largest retail, entertainment and lifestyle conglomerate in the Middle East, where he was Vice President of Analytics and Data Solutions. There, he was in charge of driving a data and analytics transformation to be data driven, customer obsessed and tech focused.

A proven data and analytics leader with over 15 years of experience, Thfoin has held a variety of roles in major CPG companies such as S.C. Johnson, Kraft Foods, analytics firm Nielsen, as well as in pure tech company Yahoo. He also led product and strategy in Teralytics, a telecom big data monetization start-up based in Zurich and New York, where he raised 25 million USD from the biggest venture capital firms in Europe.

Thfoin is very involved on the regional data scene with corporates, government and academia, and has been honored to be part of Digital Dubai’s AI ethics advisory board, Forbes’ Middle East tech advisory panel as well as Fast Company Middle East AI council. He also co-directs the Dubai program of ESCP’s Msc. In Big Data and Analytics, ranked sixth globally.
