Craig Brabec, Best Buy Senior Vice President, Chief Data Analytics Officer, Joins CDO Magazine Global Editorial Board

(US and Canada) We are pleased to welcome Craig Brabec to CDO Magazine’s Global Editorial Board. Brabec is Senior Vice President, Chief Data Analytics Officer at Best Buy where he leads AI implementation and enterprise data transformation, establishing best-in-class data analytics, tightly aligned to the company strategy. His role also includes evangelizing a data-enhanced culture throughout Best Buy.

Prior to joining Best Buy, Brabec was the Chief Data Analytics Officer at McDonald’s, Global Director of Data Analytics for Ford Motor Company, SVP CDAO for McKesson, and Chief of Analytics for Caterpillar Inc. Additional prior leadership included roles in strategy, product development, finance, IT, and supply chain. Brabec was a leader in Deloitte Consulting’s strategy and operations practice and has also served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.

He has obtained numerous distinctions, including Data Innovator of the Year, DataIQ Most Influential People in Data, and International Institute of Analytics Project of the Year. Brabec has been highlighted in many publications including the WSJ, Forbes, and several podcasts. He is an adjunct faculty at Carnegie Mellon University, is a current member of the National Business and Industry Leadership Team for the National Science Foundation, and serves on the Business Roundtable for INFORMS.

Brabec’s passion projects are promoting STEM to youth worldwide, most notably with the FIRST Robotics and Coderina organizations.
